The Universe

A man said to the universe, sir, I exist.

True, replied the universe, but that doesn’t create in me a sense of obligation.

So many feel they are victims and are waiting for things to be fair. They hardly ever are. If they were, I would be working in vinyl repair and not talking to you and you would be homeless and not listening to me.

The world isn’t fair or fixable. Don’t you hate it? Someday Jesus is going to return and clean up the mess. Meanwhile, it’s what it is. Do your best until then. It’ll be enough.
