Dogs Playing Checkers

I saw a bumper sticker the other day that read, please forgive me, God isn’t through with me yet.

Me neither, but he has begun. And there’s a principle there, what God begins he always completes. And the fact that it’s beginning is an absolute promise of it’s successful completion.

Remember that when your child gets it wrong, your wife blows it or your husband messes it up. And remember that about me too. And I’ll remember it about you. Getting better is a process, not a completed journey.

When a dog plays checkers, one doesn’t criticize his game. One is simply surprised that he’s playing at all.
