One time, the emperor of Ethiopia was having trouble with criminals in his country.

He heard about the electric chair in the United States and immediately ordered one for his own country. The problem was that at that time, there wasn’t any electricity in Ethiopia. But being creative, he made do. He took the electric chair, refurbished it, and turned it into a throne.

Jesus did something like that too. The cross of execution became the throne of freedom and forgiveness and love. It’s so God.

The world was changed by a Rabbi, hanging spread eagle on crossbeams.
