Happy New Year – Please Send Money

I hate asking you to help us financially, but this is an expensive ministry and we do, actually, raise a large part of our budget at the end of the year. So, if you can, help us out. I hate asking you to help us financially and thought of several ways I might do it:

I could tell you that Jesus told me to tell you to give generously to Key Life. The problem is, I’m not sure he did.

I could do the blessing thing about how, if you gave to Key Life, God would bless you with a great year financially. The problem with that is he might not.

I could tell you about all the people God has touched through Key Life. He has, and that in incredible ways. But then, given my Reformed views, God doesn’t need us, and sometimes I pray that we don’t lose too many.

I might tell you about my kid brother who needs an operation so he can run and play with the other children… except I don’t have a kid brother.

I might try a little manipulation by saying, “This is God’s work and, if you don’t give, you’ll get the hives.” Trouble is that simply isn’t true.

So, I’ll just go with, “Please send money.”
