The Gospel of Fitness? Navigating My Genesis 3 Body.

My guess is Adam was created in shape. I’m thinking he was prepared for his assignment to “work the garden”. My guess is Eve was more than “suitable” for Adam…think Ricky Bobby’s description of his wife in the movie Talladega Nights.
Then….
The Fall…
And it’s all downhill….
2 Corinthians 4:16(NIV)Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
We really are “wasting away” and the process is slow but it’s real and the aging process can make us lose heart.
It hits us at about 35, I call it the decline. The decline is real and it starts way earlier than most people realize.
I was training a client a few weeks back, a young guy about 35, strong, I mean really strong, and he looks at me and asks, “Your joints ever hurt?”
I definitely laughed and immediately reframed the question, “You should have asked, do your joints ever not hurt?” Then I explained to him my “It hits us at 35 years old rule.”
Here’s what’s interesting. The decline starts with loss, it’s the loss of strength.
Isaiah 40:31(NIV) But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
I’m waiting for that renewed strength! I pray, “Lord, give me that strength” and then I realize the decline is inevitable but…
By God’s grace we can slow the process and
Age Gracefully!
It takes some work on our part but sometimes we’re the answer to our own prayer. One of my friends once told me, “You don’t get strength, you take strength.” Sounds pretty motivating and maybe it is a bit.
By the way, one of the signs of aging is when you go to bed feeling fine and when you wake up you have an injury. : )
In “The Gospel of Fitness” I look at some simple ways to help slow the decline and help you to live with a better quality of life. I’ve developed a system that helps people navigate the challenges of aging while building strength, health, and hope. The application of the principles of this approach can revolutionize your health and wellness journey at any stage of life so it’s never too late to start.
I use a unique system to incorporate health and wellness into your life. I call it the “3-W Approach to Fitness.”
And here’s the good part. I’ve figured out how to rebuild strength in less than 15 minutes per session.
Aging doesn’t have to mean slowing down or giving up. With the right approach, it’s an opportunity to become stronger, healthier, and more resilient than ever before.
The Gospel of Fitness is more than a book—it’s an invitation to a better way of living, grounded in rational principles and a commitment to lasting health. Whether you’re in your 30s, 40s, 50s 60s, or beyond, it’s never too late to take control of your fitness journey.
