We are all pretty much alike: sinful, afraid, lonely, regretful, sometimes doubting, sometimes right, sometimes wrong, angry, loving, hateful, selfish, kind, wounded, and very human. When we realize how much we have in common with those we tend to demonize, we’ve taken a big step toward diminishing our “enemies'” power over us.
