Authority Problem

When I was a small boy, I did something really bad.

My mother was angry. She yelled at me, spanked me and threatened me. I have an authority problem and always have. And I remember thinking, you can yell at me all you want, but when I get out of here, just to show you, I’m doing it again, then I walked by the kitchen and noticed my mother crying.

I didn’t become perfect. Are you kidding? But better. Tears will do that. The Cross is a lot of things, but it’s also a reflection of the tears of God for us. If that doesn’t affect you, your authority problem is bigger than mine. I get mad at stop signs.
