Cheers
MARCH 18, 2025
Jesus always knows your name…even if nobody else does.
Matthew Arnold, the British poet, wrote some dark poems.
He once wrote.
Most men, Eddie, about here and there gather, squander, Eating and drinking, they are raised aloft and hurled in the dust, And then they die. Nobody asks who or what they have been Any more than he asks what waves O’er the midmost ocean have raced for a moment And foam and die.
Man, that’s dark isn’t it? It’s also not true. Cheers may be the place where everybody knows your name, but that’s always true with Jesus.
He knows my name…even if nobody else does.
And my name, by the way, is Steve Brown. You think about that.
