Fear

When I was a teenager with my first car, I drove it for only a week before I was in a crash. I was okay. The car was totaled.

The next morning. My father made me get in his car and drive. Son, he said, if you don’t face your fear now, your fear will keep you from driving for a long time. Good advice.

What scares the spit out of you? People, go and mix with people. Getting on an airplane, get on an airplane. Speaking in public, speak in public. There’s an old English proverb that says

Fear knocked on the door. Faith answered. And nobody was there.
