Heaven and Hell

A Saint once prayed, Oh God, let me love you, even if there is no heaven and let me fear you, even if there is no hell.

Now, that sounds good, but if it’s okay with you, I’m not going to pray that prayer.

I want to be a Christian simply because I was drawn to the love of God, but then knowing about heaven and hell doesn’t hurt.

I love walking with Christ. And when you add heaven to the mix, it doesn’t get much better than that. On the other hand, hell can scare, as it were, the hell out of you. That’s why Jesus told us about both.
