Humility

Humility

NOVEMBER 15, 2023

Don’t grovel. Remember who you are.

One time an American writer was introduced to a famous English writer and groveled in his presence.

The English writer was kind, but after the American left, he said to a friend that man has no right to make himself so small. He’s not that big.

Ever think that a lot of humidity is pride wearing a sad mask? Don’t grovel, it’s unbecoming. Besides, as the late Ethel Waters said, “God don’t make no junk.”

It’s called the image of God. And it makes you valuable and precious. Try to remember that, I will too. Humility, isn’t making yourself smaller than you are. It’s remembering who you are.

I’m Steve Brown. You think about that.
