Makeup

In some legalistic churches, it’s a sin to wear makeup.

Vernon Grounds was once preaching in one of those churches and said.

I know you think it’s a sin to wear makeup, but I’ve been looking at you and frankly, I think it’s a sin not to.

Well, that’s sexist, but funny. Actually, part of the job description of a Christian is to be as winsome and as attractive to unbelievers as possible. And if there’s any offense to be made, let Jesus do it. There are those who reject Christ not because of Christ, but because of his followers. Hey, I’m doing the best I can.
