Reasonably Good People

Only those who know how bad they are can get better.
Most of us think of ourselves as reasonably good people.
Jesus says we’re not. Now, that causes a problem. Let me give you an important truth.
Only those who know how bad they are get any better. And they get better because they know that if they don’t, Jesus will love them anyway.
Socrates said.
Know thyself.
If in that effort you come up with a reasonably good person diagnosis, you need to stop drinking.
If your devotional life isn’t working, remember what Luther said.
We are great sinners in need of a Great Savior.
When you get that, you get him.
