Saint Teresa

There’s a story about Saint Teresa who was praying and someone knocked on her door.

She stopped praying, went to the door, and there was a little girl crying. She helped her, dried her tears and gave her a hug, and then Saint Teresa returned to her prayers, praying Lord, I’m sorry for the interruption.

Child, God said, that wasn’t an interruption, that was me. Had you not answered the door, I would not have been here when you returned.

Be careful about interruptions, might be him. And if Jesus is right and he is, when the interruption is a child, it’s always him.
