The Fruit of Suffering

The Fruit of Suffering

The fruit that comes from a wounded tree is often the best fruit around.

Did you know that a farmer will sometimes take an ax to an apple tree that isn’t producing apples and create a gaping wound?

The next growing season, that apple tree will almost always produce fruit. One could call that, I suppose, the fruit of suffering.

Bible talks about that too. When it hurts, it could be that God is planning a very good harvest.

I hate it, cuss and spit and complain about it, but the fruit that comes from a wounded tree is often the best fruit around.

I’m Steve Brown. You think about that.
