Twin Brothers

There’s an old fairy tale about twin brothers.

One walked down some dark roads and became the evil brother. A magician turned him into a wolf. Years later, that wolf attacked his twin brother, and his twin refused to defend himself. He just looked at the wolf with compassion and love, and very slowly the wolf reverted to his former self as a brother.

Love does that sometimes. Sometimes I’m the wolf and sometimes you’re the wolf. We both need to be loved, and when we are, it’s surprising what happens.

Jesus knew that, and we should too.
